Nature & Mental Wellness Trainings
The “Nature & Mental Health” Workshop Series is designed to support today’s diverse professionals with increasing their leadership capacity to work effectively within diverse teams and communities while managing the impacts of the current state of our nation.
In a time of heightened awareness around society’s struggles to grapple with our social equity needs and the continued efforts to steward the land that brings us together, this workshop series is a powerful way to learn key tools in managing your mental and emotional wellness as we live in one of our world's most trying times. With the pandemic and rise of racial tensions across the nation, many have looked to nature as a place to find relief and open space to destress. This workshop series is offered to professionals with a holistic and nature-based approach to cultivate mental wellness and go beyond de-stressing to applying effective communication tools and processes to challenging workplace environments

The connection to nature and our society’s mental wellness is a key concept for land-based professionals to engage with being tied so closely to land stewardship. “Nature & Mental Health'' utilizes a multi-disciplined approach to understanding the mirroring of nature’s systems to that of leadership and the human experience. With profound parallels to science, traditional knowledge & epistemologies, leadership coaching, and emotional and spiritual wellness, this workshop series offers tangible tools to take back to the office or out into the field, interacting with the community.
By fully participating in both parts of this opportunity, leaders will
gain a cultural and historical lens on health, wellness, & land stewardship
understand the mechanics of trauma to better engage with communities (particularly communities of color) with trauma informed practices
learn the mechanics of , triggers, how to manage them and improve overall self awareness
distinguish and self diagnose levels of burnout, compassion fatigue , and vicarious trauma
effectively and immediately apply tools for self empowerment
increase their capacity with social-emotional competencies
