This workshop will guide leaders through the recently published workbook, Accountability As Restoration, Healing from a Punitive System to Co-designing Restorative Dialogue written by nature-based coach and consultant, Raynelle Rino. The presentation will build on self awareness, compassion, and trauma informed practice as you are guided through the step-by-step process offered in the workbook.
This workshop will support managers and supervisors in both public and private agencies who are seeking the tools and communication skills for a more human-centered approach to managing teams and relationships. Leaders may have a desire for change management or are considering alternative ways of leading their team through challenges. No previous experience is required and all material is applicable to personal relationships.
Your nature-based coach, Raynelle will guide you through the unpacking of the term accountability as a restorative tool rather than a pathway towards punishment or consequences. By referencing key parts of the workbook, Accountability As Restoration participants will dive deeper into the historical context of the term accountability and its limitations in providing true healing and justice into communities.
There will be opportunities to implement the step-by-step process to design your agency’s restorative accountability pathway and offer trauma-informed perspectives with real life considerations before implementing a potentially disruptive process. Gathering in community will also provide opportunities to share resources, stories, and find a community of like-minded justice-centered leaders looking to challenge leadership norms and disrupt continued harm.
This workshop will be live and recorded and include a Q & A portion.
